Sports Brief: Wichita State golfer succeeds in Brazil

Wichita State senior golfer Rafael Becker won the Brazilian Amateur Championship for the third-straight time on Sunday.

Becker, a native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, led from the start of the tournament and ended with an 8-under 276 (69-66-67-74). 

The 2012 Missouri Valley Conference Golfer-of-the-Year helped lead Brazil to a team title, beating Uruguay by one stroke. 

Becker beat a field of 88 golfers in the 82nd annual Amateur Golf Championship of Brazil.
