Every swing of the hammer and twist of the screws means the food court in the Rhatigan Student Center is closer to re-opening.

“We’re looking for food offering sometime next week,” Shelly Martins, RSC director of marketing, said.

She said all the restaurants— Fast Break, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell and Masala Asian Grill—probably would not open on the same day this month. Pizza Hut is not expected to open until mid-October.

“We plan to have our main food court reopening on October 4 and National Student Day,” Martins said.

However, some services may be available incrementally before then, she said.

The food court reconstruction is part of the $26 million two and half-year renovation project of the RSC.
