Wichita State’s men’s basketball roster is finally complete with the commitment of transfer Desmeon “NuNu” Jones, announced via his personal X account on Thursday evening.

He is now the fifth and final commitment from the transfer portal and will be joining fellow guards Jordan Frison and Jahari Long, wing Bryce Heard and center Cyr Malonga.
Jones brings with him one season of experience from Blinn College where he was named honorable mention all-conference and all-region.
Jones, a 5’11 point guard, started 31 games for the Buccaneers, averaging 25.3 minutes, 12.4 points and 2.9 rebounds. He also shot 43% from the field, 33% on 3s and 70% at the free-throw line.
Due to multiple veteran guards being present in WSU’s roster, like transfers Frison and Long, and returning guard Mike Gray Jr., Jones will most likely spend most of his time this season learning behind them and developing his skills.
With Jones’ commitment, the Shocker roster for 2026-27 is officially full, and ready to start planning for the season ahead.
