The Wichita State held its annual season preview, Shocker Madness, Wednesday night.

Slam dunks, three-point competitions, rings, and scrimmages brought fans to fill the lower bowl of Koch Arena, and then some.

The 2016-2017 men’s basketball team was presented with their rings for the Missouri Valley Championship. Both Zach Bush and John Robert Simon were in attendance to receive their rings.

After the presentations of the rings, both the men’s and women’s teams competed in a three-point competition. Senior Conner Frankamp won for the second year in a row on the men’s side, and Tamara Lee was the women’s champion.

The fan-favorite event of the night was the dunk competition. Participants were Rod Brown, Zach Brown, and C.J. Keyser.

A panel of five judges were brought in to judge the contest. The judges included former Shockers Evan Wessel, Zach Bush, and Cheese Johnson, Head Women’s Basketball Coach Keitha Adams, and Wu Shock.

Brown and Keyser made it to the final round. Keyser got the victory on a between-the-legs dunk that scored a 10 from every judge.

The night concluded with a scrimmage from both teams.
