Shamet and Morris named First Team All-Conference
The American Athletic Conference announced their First Team All-Conference selections Monday morning.
The American is announcing conference honors throughout a three-day span leading up to the conference tournament.
Both sophomore guard Landry Shamet and senior center Shaquille Morris were named First Team All-Conference.
Shamet is The Shockers’ leading scorer averaging 14.6 points per game. He finished the regular season leading The American in both assists (5.2) and assist-to-turnover ratio (2.6).
He also finished the regular season ranked second in three-point percentage (.440), third in three-pointers per game (2.6) and third in free throw percentage (.837).
Morris leads the league in blocked shots (49) and ranks second on the field goal percentage chart (.563).
He averages 14.2 points per game, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks.
