Head Coach Gregg Marshall points to the ref after a call is made against Wichita State. The Shockers played Jacksonville State on Dec. 12, 2018 at Charles Koch Arena.

Wichita State commit Noah Fernandes was named one of 800 McDonald’s All-American nominees.

The All-American game is the only democratically selected prep all-star event in the country. Nominees are named by the nation’s top high school coaches and select media members.

Fernandes is listed a three-star recruit. The 5-foot-11 point guard signed his letter of the intent with the WSU next season.

Last season, ex-Shocker commit Alex Lomax and Shocker freshman Erik Stevenson were each named McDonald’s All-American nominees. Neither were finalists.
