Wichita Police Officer Charley Davidson confirmed to The Sunflower that the driver involved in Wednesday’s hit-and-run accident that injured a Wichita State student has been located.

Charges have not been pressed yet.

“The investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office,” Davidson said in an email.

The student is now in stable condition at the hospital. The hit-and-run occurred at 17th and Fairmount Street, but the student was not using the crosswalk east of the intersection, according to the officers who were on scene from the Wichita Police Department..
