Alec Bohm finishes first career World Series appearance
The Houston Astros won the World Series by beating the Philadelphia Phillies 4-2 (5-6), (5-2), (0-7), (5-0), (3-2), (4-1).
Alec Bohm, a third baseman for the Phillies, was the first baseball player from Wichita State to play in the World Series since Andy Dirks appeared with the Detroit Tigers in 2012.
Bohm finished the World Series with a .286 batting average and a .872 OPS. He also hit his first career postseason home run and the No. 1,000 homer of the World Series.
