Wildcat’s late offensive run leads to 7-6 victory over WSU

The Wichita State baseball team fell to Kansas State on the road Tuesday night, 7-6.

The Wildcats scored five runs in the eighth inning and one in the ninth to win.

WSU’s offense had been firing all game until its scoring hit a draught in the seventh inning.

The Shockers will play again tonight against McPherson at 6:30 p.m. at Eck Stadium.

 


Shocker men’s basketball finishes season at No. 4

In the final USA Today poll of the college baskeball season, Wichita State finished No. 4.

With the Shockers finishing with a record 30 wins and a Final Four run, the No. 4 ranking was the program’s highest in a final poll to date.

Kansas finished No. 8 with Kansas State at No. 20 and Creighton No. 21.
