SGA approves Student Health Services funding

Student Health Services was approved for $100,000 at last Wednesday’s SGA meeting.

The money will be used to increase some salaries in addition to creating a new position to meet demand. The salary increase is due in part regarding need to bring the salary for a currently open position to a competitive rate. It is hoped that with the increase the position can be filled. Though SGA did ask several questions about the specificities of the funding bill, it was passed unanimously.

Other funding requests approved included:

•$15,000 to the Jazz Department for sponsorship of the upcoming Band Day

•$5,000 to the WSU Organization Security Fund.
