WSU students and professors to represent country in Russian Festival
Wichita State’s music program is going places—including Russia.
The Suprima Chamber Orchestra, the St. Petersburg String Quartet and the Lieurance Woodwind Quintet were all invited to the International Conservatory Festival in Russia, which begins in early November.
Represented in these groups are numerous WSU students and professors. WSU and George Mason University were the only two U.S. schools selected to perform in Russia for this event.
On Tuesday, the St. Petersburg Suprima Chamber Orchestra will host a concert on campus before its overseas trip.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Miller Concert Hall. Tickets are $7 and are available through the WSU Fine Arts Box Office.
