Wichita State lands Jamarius Burton for 2018-19 season
Jamarius Burton, a a three-star 6-foot-5 point guard, announced that he will sign with Wichita State for the upcoming season via a live stream on Youtube.
Burton made his official visit to Wichita State on Tuesday and Wednesday, which was his final recruiting visit before his announcement on Friday.
Burton chose Wichita State over Butler, Massachusetts, George Mason and Temple.
Burton led his high school team to a North Carolina State Championship in March. He averaged 16.4 points, 4.9 assists, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game in his senior season.
Burton becomes the seventh of his recruiting class joining Dexter Dennis, Erik Stevenson, Morris Udeze, Chance Moore, Jaime Echenique, Isaiah Chandler. The Shockers still have two scholarship spots available.
