Laser Tag rally at the Rhatigan

The Student Activities Council (SAC) came up with laser tag after a brainstorming session, SAC advisor Jeff Nielson said. He discussed projects among the SAC staff and laser tag made the November activity list.

The third floor room of the RSC was filled with students as well as families, waiting to receive a team ticket. The teams could be self-chosen and varied from yellow, green, red and blue.

Students gathered together in the lobby and were able to enjoy snacks and music while waiting their turn in line.

The line backed up to the staircase and down the stairs leading to the ballroom. Members of the SAC took student I.D.s and could be seen explaining rules and gathering teams.

Tyler Bird, a member of the SAC said the group received the equipment from a mobile team named Red Dot and that teams were based on the people who showed up and wanted to play together.

The matches were one-on-one and were comparable to a regular laser tag game.

The SAC has been a part of various activities this semester including Trunk or Treat, Casino Night and Breakfast with Bardo.

Bird said they have more relaxing events coming up like “Pet a Puppy”, that’s geared towards relieving stress for students during semester finals.
