Former Shocker Touré Murry signs contract with Utah Jazz

Former Shocker guard Touré Murry has signed a contract with the Utah Jazz, the team announced today.

Last season, Murry signed his first NBA deal with the New York Knicks. In 51 games last season, he averaged 7.3 minutes, 2.7 points and 1 assist per game.

The 6-foot-5 Murry plays both the point and shooting guard positions, but he mostly played point for the Knicks.

Murry ranks No. 1 in career assists and No. 2 in career steals as a Shocker all-time. He was on the team that won the NIT championship in 2011.
