Welcomefest brings warmth to campus

We get it. It’s cold outside and you may just want to go home after class. But studies featured in USA Today and Huffington Post find that involvement in on campus activities makes students happier. 

Welcomefest is an accumulation of Wichita State sponsored activities that are free for students. 

It goes until Saturday and features more than 25 activities. 

WSU and the Student Activities Council are creating and developing new events for students this year.

Notable Welcomefest events include: 

Homecoming Royalty Court Voting

Vote for top Queen and King candidates 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday this week.

Arts and crafts Fair

Crafts fair held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., today and Tuesday on the RSC first floor.

Get involved with Student Activities Council

Info meeting is at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the RSC, Room 266 and 1 p.m. Wednesday, McKinley Hall, Room 207.

Springfest

Springfest is a new event that provides a chance for all students to find out about student organizations and academic departments. Springfest will be from 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Heskett Center.

Resolutions poster

Students and faculty are invited to help make a poster with New Year’s resolutions on it. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday on the RSC first floor.
