Police: Possible attempted human trafficking outside Heskett Thursday
Wichita State police are making the public aware of an alleged attempted human trafficking that took place Thursday outside of the Heskett Center.
A woman was approaching young women “fairly aggressively” outside the Heskett Center tennis courts, the police said in a social media post. She then asked the women she approached about joining a Bible study class.
There was also a report of a woman approaching students and asking them to join a Bible study on August 20 at Shocker Hall, posted in the police department’s crime log.
WSU police became aware of the alleged trafficking attempts via social media reports. The police department are investigating the incidents.
