‘Self Made,’ a team of University of Kansas alumni, will play in The Basketball Tournament this summer in Charles Koch Arena. The single-elimination tournament holds a $2 million purse.

The Kansas Jayhawks will play in Charles Koch Arena this summer.

Well, kind of.

Former Kansas Jayhawks guard Elijah Johnson announced today in a report by The Kansas City Star that a 10-player Jayhawks squad will compete in The Basketball Tournament held July 25-28 in Charles Koch Arena.

So far, Wichita State, Kansas and Kansas State have all announced alumni teams that will compete in the eight-team, single-elimination Wichita event. The winner from Wichita will advance to the finals Aug. 1-6 in Chicago to compete for a $2 million winner-take-all prize.

Players of the Kansas Jayhawks’ alumni team “Self Made” are not yet announced. Though, according to The Star’s report, Landen Lucas and Sherron Collins have each shared on social media that they are excited to play for the KU team this summer.
